Thakane Motlafi, known as Sr T a caring and dedicated midwife who feels honoured to be at your service. It feels like a God given role to me, and when I first started learning about midwifery as a student at Chris Hani Baragwanath Nursing College, I was sure of my career path. I’m passionate about advocating for parents, families, and children, and providing attentive care as they go through the incredibly transformative experience of becoming parents. I am proud of my compassionate and empathetic approach to my clients and their families, and I strive to offer personalized and unique care every day. I am committed to being a source of support, encouragement, and guidance for women as they prepare for, deliver, and nurture their babies.
I worked in both public and private hospitals and am confident in my understanding of the duties and responsibilities of this role. I am sure that this is the role I intend to keep throughout my life and find that midwifery is not only a profession but a privilege. I am comfortable providing individuals with support through the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods of their journey.
